This program is easy and fast to use, does not cost you anything and is better paid than many other affiliate or pay-per-click programs. Just check the numbers, please (answer no. 3 in this FAQ).
We make thousands of conversions every year and our partners appreciate the benefits they gain.

The services we advertise grow at the rate of 30% per year (40% in the Mediterranean area). It is probable that many of your visitors will be interested in our offer.
And it is really better paid.

For the very first conversion we will pay you 100€ and, additionally, the earnings for up to 100 clicks till then: 10 euro-cents (0.10€) per click. For subsequent conversions we will pay you 50€ + click earnings for up to 100 clicks (which go at the same rate – 0.10€ per click).

First conversion - building trust:
We pay you a high commission on the first conversion your ads make, immediately after the conversion happens, in order to build your trust in our affiliate program and to make our partnership stronger.
Conversion happens, the client pays to us, we pay to you.
We will make a payment to your PayPal account or send a check to your address the same day we receive the payment from our client.

Later conversions - business as usual:
The amount of money earned depends on how many clicks your site's visitors make, and on how many of them become SailingEurope's clients.
You receive a fixed amount of 50€ for every booking that a client who came through your site makes. In addition to this, for every single booking the profits from clicks will also be calculated and added to your earnings for the current month. Each click has a fixed value of 10 euro-cents (0.10€), and a single booking will enable payment for up to 100 clicks (that's up to 10€ more from clicks, for a single booking). If at the end of the month you have clicks that haven't been credited, they are transferred to the next month - this means that you never lose merit for clicks. You just get paid for them only after your visitor becomes a SailingEurope client (by making a booking).

This way you get paid for every single conversion and for every single visitor who clicks on our ad.

What SailingEurope does is a seasonal business, and there are off-season periods when the number of bookings is significantly lower (though these periods will become both shorter and less frequent, as SailingEurope is actively aiming at an all-year-round booking season by expanding to other markets and areas of the world).
Our affiliate program is set up in such a way that you always keep the points for all clicks made on the ads from your site(s) (even when there are no conversions), and when the bookings start, you will receive profit for all clicks (along with the fixed commissions for every booking, of course).

All payments are made at the end of the month (the cheques usually arrive a few days later).
Be aware that we will make a payment at the end of the month only if your total earned sum is 100€ or more. If you wish to receive monthly payments also for smaller sums, please send an email to or call +44 208 114 6193, and let us know.

We support payments by money cheques, or via PayPal - in this case the transfer costs (around 3%) are charged to the partner.

A web site and an email address. And, of course, a PayPal account or an address to which we can send the cheques.

1. Sign up through our Partnership Application page by entering your site's URL, your email address and your desired password for login.
   
2. Log in to SailingEurope Affiliate and copy the ad's code (a few lines of HTML and JavaScript) into your site. The ad will be displayed at the place where you copy the code, so make sure you have enough room for it on your page(s).
   

That's it, the ads are displayed immediately and you can track their showings ("impressions") and clicks in real time.

Your visitors, after clicking on SailingEurope ad, will arrive to SailingEurope site and see a page that gives them their discount code (they can write it down, email it to their address, or print it). Then, if they become SailingEurope's clients (by booking a boat), they use this code to get a discount on their booking price. After they use the code to get the discount, you get your affiliate commission. The moment when the discount code is used, you will get an email with conversion confirmation and the financial report.

Please note that this system doesn't use cookies or some other technology-based (and technology-dependent) solution for the tracking mechanism. We establish a relation between the client and you, the partner, through the discount code the client uses when making a booking - every discount code is unique and contains, among other things, the means of identifying the partner and the site on which the clicked ad was placed.

Simple, try it yourself. Act as a client, click on the ad on your site and remember the code, then make a boat booking through SailingEurope's Online Boat Booking system and use the code to discount the price (the exact instructions on how to use the code will be provided in the Invoice that you receive for your booking). The result will be immediately visible: you will be credited for making another conversion and will receive an email confirmation (also the achieved conversion will be visible through the administration and tracking web interface for partners).
Then you can just cancel your boat booking or, even better, actually use it and have a great sailing or cruising holiday.

Please note - even if you do try this, don't make a practice of it. The program is built on good faith, and we hope that our partners will not attempt to abuse it (fake clicks, cancelled bookings, stuff like that). SailingEurope reserves the right to withhold or cancel payments to a partner if there is any suspicion of fraud or foul-play. Apart from that, for every booking we have the client's data, just as for every discount activation we record all information available at the time.

All statistics are directly visible in real time in the partners' interface of SailingEurope Affiliate Program. We don't plan to cheat you, and we're hoping you'll trust us, just as we are hoping that you won't try to fraud us. There's really no logic in doing any of that, as there's value for all parties (you, us, and the visitors) in this Program.

Well, we just do. As stated above, both the client's data for all bookings and the visitor's available data for all discount activations are recorded, and we reserve the right to cancel your payments at any time if we suspect of fraud.

There's a bunch of suggestions on ad placement (based on your site's design and layout, the profile of your visitors, and stuff like that) that can easily be found on the Internet. A good placement of the ad (along with selecting or making the right colour combination for the ad) can dramatically increase the visibility and click-through ratio for the ad.

Yes, there is. One of the benefits for SailingEurope is that all ads also have a direct link to our homepage. This helps in search engine optimization (as you already know, if you are asking this), and it is one of the program's added values. And it doesn't really bother you, does it?

Yes, you can use that to set up the color of the ad any way you like. You may have to get your technical personnel to do it, as the colors are in "hexadecimal colour codes". Changing these codes will affect the ad and change the colors.

If it lets you directly modify the page's HTML and JavaScript, yes. If you can't find any info on it, try asking them. And if there's no easy way, you can contact us, and we'll try to set something up with them (read as: we'll get our tech guy to try setting it up).
